Anh and Doug’s wedding day was a testament to the seamless coordination provided by the venue. They were all smiles, from morning mimosas to a dazzling sparkler send-off. Every element of their day transitioned effortlessly, creating a memorable experience for everyone involved.
The Perfect Wedding Day Timeline
The key to a flawless wedding day is a well-thought-out timeline, and Kaya Vineyard & Winery doesn’t disappoint. Here’s a sneak peek into Anh and Doug’s wedding itinerary, which flowed so well and allowed us to capture those intimate moments while taking full advantage of the stunning scenery and gorgeous light from dawn until dusk.
Getting Ready/Detail Shots: The day began with capturing those precious moments of Anh and her bridesmaids sipping champagne. Meanwhile, Doug and his groomsmen enjoyed a relaxed morning in their cottage (complete with a bow-tie tutorial).
First Look: The anticipation had us reaching for tissues as Anh and Doug saw each other for the first time, framed by the breathtaking vineyard backdrop.
Couple's Portraits: These portraits are pure art with the Blue Ridge Mountains as their backdrop.
Wedding Party/Family Portraits: Next, we gathered both families and the wedding party for a series of sunkissed portraits and candid shots.
Reception Details: The reception area was decorated to perfection, so we took a moment to capture its intricate decor.
Ceremony: Under a floral arch, Anh and Doug exchanged heartfelt vows with sweeping views of the vineyard and mountains behind them. It was an absolute dream!
Golden Hour/Newlywed Portraits: Right after the ceremony, we snuck away for some newlywed portraits so they could savor the moment while guests mixed and mingled over wine. The light filtering through the clouds over the mountains was surreal!
Cocktail Hour (usually covered by a second shooter): Guests enjoyed tasting Kaya's selection of wines, allowing the couple to have some intimate moments.
Grand Entrance: Anh and Doug’s grand entrance kicked off the reception with energy and applause.
First Dance: The newlyweds shared their first dance under twinkling lights, surrounded by loved ones.
Toasts: Heartfelt speeches from close friends and family are always a hit, bringing a few happy tears and a lot of laughter.
Cake Cutting: Finally, Anh and Doug cut into a beautiful white cake that tasted as good as it looked.
Family Dances: The special dances with parents always add an emotional touch.
Dancing: Fueled by delicious cake, the dance floor came alive as everyone joined in the celebration.
Send-Off: The night ended with a sparkling send-off, creating a magical and unforgettable moment.
